Rosals Collection

Name Rosals Collection
Description In 1917 the Museum was given a collection of molluscs and geological and palaeontological samples by Joan Rosals i Corretjer. Currently, the Museum’s petrological collection contains 101 samples of rocks from this collection. Samples from Catalonia and the rest of Spain predominate, although there are number of samples from France and Germany that consist almost entirely of igneous rocks. Most of the rocks from Catalonia are porphyries, marls and hornfels.
