Bernades herbarium

Description The herbarium of Miquel Bernades i Mainader (1708-1771) and his son Miquel Bernades i Clarís (1750-1801) has been on permanent from the Barcelona Royal Academy of Science and Arts to the Institute since 1925. It contains 814 sheets, mainly collected around Madrid and in La Cerdanya, and its labels still contain pre-Linnean descriptions. In 2001-2006 it was studied by Neus Ibáñez as part of her doctoral thesis
