The Parma Wallaby is a herbivorous marsupial that feeds on herbaceous plants, roots and leaves. Its cranium is elongate but small in comparison with the rest of its body, while its mandible is short due to dental reduction on the lower jaw. Its dentition is lophodont, with molar cusps that allow it to cut and grind up fibrous plants. Its dentition is also diprodont, that is, it has a pair of large incisors on the lower jaw. It has no lower canine teeth and its upper canines are very small with sharp cusps. There is a large space or diastema between its incisors and premolars. Its molars are large and increase in size from the front towards the back of the mouth. It has 32 teeth with the following dental formula: I 3/1, C 0/0, P 2/2, M 4/4.
