Treeshrews are mammals that inhabit the tropical forests of SE Asia. They are omnivorous and feed on insects, small vertebrates, fruits and seeds. Their craniums are small, with long faces. Their dentition is not very specialized, and the canine teeth and molars in particular are not well developed. Its dental formula is as follows: I 2/3, C 1/1, P 3/3, M 3/3.
