Description:

The Yellow-legged Gull is an opportunisitic predator that feeds on marine invertebrates, fish, other birds and even on rubbish and dead animals. Its skull is elongated and pear-shaped, with a bill with a hooked tip. It feeds by flying low over the water surface and it will dive to capture prey with its bill, whose hooked shape prevents its prey from slipping away.
