Description The Catalan Institution of Natural History (1819-1916) loaned its herbarium to the Natural History Museum (the precursor of today's Barcelona Botanical Institute) in 1917. It contains 1,022 plants collected by botanists such as Trèmols and Sennen or obtained via exchanges with the Société Helvétique. In 2001-2006 it was studied by Neus Ibáñez as part of her doctoral thesis.
