Col·lection of larger foraminifera from the Cenomanian of Oman

Name Col·lection of larger foraminifera from the Cenomanian of Oman
Description The larger foraminifera collection from the Cenomanian of Oman is composed of around 2,000 elements, namely, rocks, thin sections, and levigated material, all containing thousands of specimens. The importance of this collection lies in the fact that contains the more representative larger foraminifera inhabiting the Arabian platform during the Cenomanian age. They were collected during a field-trip carried out in 2012 by Vicent Vicedo, curator of palaeontology of the MCNB, together with other colleagues, such as Josep Serra-Kiel, at that time emeritus professor of Palaeontology at the Universitat de Barcelona, and Philippe Razin and Carine Grélaud from the Bordeaux INP.
